Eating corn on the cob again brought tears to my eyes. Simple pleasures. I hadn’t been able to eat corn on the cob for over ten years because of my missing teeth. It was one of my favorite summer foods and I missed it terribly. When Dr. Nimri gave me my new dentures, eating corn on the cob was the first thing I wanted to try. The first bite was emotional – I actually started crying right there at the dinner table. My family thought something was wrong, but I was just so happy to enjoy this simple pleasure again.
